“May you and your family have a GREAT START to 2026!”

Love Notes: Small Beginnings, Big Impact

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…” — Zechariah 4:10 (read entire chapter)

Since my relocation, I’ve had to re-acquire things at a certain pace. But this has not always happened at the pace of my liking.

However, time with God and a shift in my perspective are allowing me to see things more clearly: one small thing and one small moment at a time are contributing to the LARGER picture of it all.

And as I re-evaluate my situation from the lens of gratitude (versus the sin of ingratitude), there is also something else that I’m gaining from my move + transition: a sense of fun and adventure.

Addressing practical needs like pots/pans and seating areas have actually become more exciting as the “creative” in me is sparked more to stretch a dollar, select items/pieces with meaning, and involve my daughter in the process embracing gratitude –right where we are.

Notifications of store clearance events and the idea of perusing spring garage sales in the coming months have challenged me to think about money more frugally and to savor the time in building a space we can truly call home.

–With love always,
