Domestic Violence & Mental Health Education

About

I care a lot about the personal safety and spiritual liberation of women + children.

I got my start over 20 years ago working as a domestic violence advocate and family support worker using the Parents As Teachers and Nurturing Parents curriculum. I also taught academically but returned to working more closely with children + families in 2021 during the world-wide pandemic.

Creativity and attunement continue to be my muse as I’ve designed and implemented several children and family focused services/resources over the last five years which include: respite childcare program, supervised visitation program (w/family court involved parents), and children and family books (one being featured at Livingston Elementary School in New Brunswick, NJ).

My efforts as a communicator (speaker/ordained preacher/facilitator/writer) have taken me to the church pulpit to college campuses to media outlets. I touch on women’s issues, Christian discipleship, resilience-building, female rights, and interpersonal violence prevention.

I hold a Masters Degree in Education and am pursuing Doctoral studies.

I’m so glad you stopped by!

With kindness,

Keturah Teasley, M.S. Ed.
