Keturah Teasley holds a Masters Degree in Education and is pursuing a Doctoral Degree. As a life-long learner, she also has various certifications and specialized training in parenting education and trauma-responsive practices.
Keturah began working as an Advocate with female victims of domestic violence (and their children) over two decades ago in a residential center and continued to volunteer and facilitate groups over the years through outreach endeavors. She also spent over a decade teaching academically in K-12 and adult education settings. Additionally, Keturah provided trauma-responsive parenting education for court-ordered individuals (who had safety plans in place with their children) through her independently owned/operated service (Family Emerge) for four years.
She has been an active communicator (Bible teacher/speaker/ordained preacher/facilitator/writer) in the areas of women’s issues, Christian discipleship, resilience, female rights, youth development, and interpersonal violence prevention for over 15 years. Keturah has also had the honor of serving as a Read Across America author at Livingston Elementary School in New Brunswick, NJ.
Her overall message serves as “empowerment for families” with a firm foundation found in “faith in Jesus Christ.” Keturah believes that the Lord is truly the God of “another chance”and she is a living witness of this in more ways than one.
